A telecom carrier identification tool is an online service that can provide information about the network carrier associated with a phone number. The information can help users validate incoming calls, optimize marketing strategies, and improve communication. Using the lookup tool can also help businesses better organize their client databases and separate landline numbers from mobile numbers.
Telecom Carrier Lookup: Know the Network Provider
The lookup tool can be used to check a phone number’s CLLI code, the type of network it is connected to, and its network provider. The code is made up of 6 characters: a two-character building identifier that may be either two letters or two numbers, followed by three digits to identify a switching entity within the building, and three more digits to identify non-building locations. The first three characters are a geographic area, and the last two characters are an identifier for non-building locations such as junctions, manholes, poles, base transceiver station / radio equipment, and repeaters.
